Since TAIYO YUDEN’s inception, we have achieved growth by undertaking the research, development, manufacture and sales of various types of electronic components. Our product lineup includes capacitors, as well as inductors and Film Bulk Acoustic Resonator (FBAR)/Surface Acoustic Wave (SAW) devices.

The source of our strength comes from the undertaking of development starting from material development to product commercialization. This approach enables us to continually provide products that respond closely to our customer needs in the markets we serve. We currently offer products used in such electronic devices as smartphones and tablets. We also offer products in a wide range of fields such as automobile and IT infrastructure/industrial equipment, where the application of IT and electronics is accelerating.

We marked our 70th anniversary in 2020. With an eye toward celebrating the 100th anniversary and beyond, we established the new mission of being “Stronger and more socially aware through the wonders of science.” The mission indicates what kind of company TAIYO YUDEN should be. Making use of “the wonders of science” that will bring exciting experience, unexpected discoveries, and surprises, in addition to systematic knowledge and experience, we will support the evolution of electronics technologies that support the safe, secure, comfortable, and convenient lives of people and thereby contribute to society.

In addition, we formulated the Medium-term Management Plan 2025, which covers the period from FY2021 to FY2025. By looking at 2030, which is 10 years from now, we see 2025 as a milestone toward establishing a significant presence as a parts manufacturer.
